Here is a yummy gingery cocktail for you Bourbon lovers. It uses apple-ginger simple syrup made with juice from the Mehu-Liisa steam juicer from Finland.
Pint glass full of ice
Chilled cocktail glass
1.5 to 2 ounces Bourbon
Juice from 1/2 lemon (about 1 ounce)
Seltzer or club soda to top off
Garnish: Maraschino cherry, lemon peel
Pour Bourbon into the pint glass of ice. Add 3/4 ounce of apple-ginger simple syrup. Next, add juice from 1/2 a lemon. Stir for about 30 seconds, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Top off with seltzer or club soda. Add a garnish and enjoy!
