A noteworthy post from Mehu-Liisa user, Granny Miller

Here’s a post by Granny Miller about juicing with the Mehu-Liisa steam juicer. Her blog is well worth a look around. I am very appreciative of folks like Granny Miller for keeping skills from past generations alive. Thank you, Granny!

Very good photos she shared with good directions. I love mine and use it to make tons of applesauce and apple juice. I have blogged about my process and shared my pot with many friends who have gone on to buy their own.

      Jenny,

Thank you for the comment. I enjoyed spending time on your site. Especially the cross-country skiing posts. I grew up on a cross-country ski center in Trumansburg, NY. The Podunk Cross-Country Ski Center. Many fond memories of winter in the snowy woods. BTW, neither of the juicers that you have are Mehu-Maija steam juicers. In the picture of both on the stove, the one on the left is a Norpro Krona steam juicer and the one on the right is either a Back to Basics or a Victorio steam juicer, I believe. Neither of these juicers is made in Finland. Mehu-Maija (no longer produced)and Mehu-Liisa are both trademarks of made-in-Finland steam juicers. All in the spirit of good information, of which your site is brimming! And thank you so much for the link to my site in one of the comments. I truly appreciate your support of small businesses.

      Take care,

      Daniel
